I am a 24 year old male - and I am overweight.........There is an "Adventure Racing" club at my work that is realy up my street - I love being in the outdoors and orienteering sounds like a blast. However I signed up to the news letter - but have never bothered to do anything - I kept telling myself that I was too out of shape and I would need to do some training before I started attending. However a year later and I have only got less fit. This is partly to be blamed on me changing jobs to a job which is 100% desk based - but to a larger extent its because I am lazy!!!
However I saw a picture of myself thaat was taken the other day and it really shocked me - I knew I was a bit chunky - but now I am actually fat!
So I have decided to do something about it.
I am going to watch what I eat a bit more - and more importantly I am going to take up running. Whenever I have done this in the past I have always rushed in too fast and ended up injuring myself and then stopping. However I have found a service called the "30 Minutes in three weeks course" - essentially they email you every day with instructions for your training. Whilst on my first run today - I decided to start this blog to track my progress.........
